Baby Kitty Is Dancing on Hair Spray

Sophie is obsessed with musicals and lately the chosen one is Hairspray (2007.)  She is always telling me that Tracy Turnblad is the nicest kid in town and stuff like that.  I love this kid so much, I just took the DVD player apart to free the stuck Hairspray DVD.  This was an emergency so she could watch Penny Pingleton be permanently punished for being a "devil child, devil child," for the 10th time this week. It was quite the challenge being as I feel like I have been punched repeatedly in the chest by King Kong.  The DVD player just kind of chomped it up and it was nearly the end of the world for Miss Sophie.  I think she secretly has a crush on Zac Efron but she doesn't know how to express her feelings and she just needed a fix.  LOL. She also is quite fond of High School Musical.  This is the common denominator I can find between them.  I think he is kind of a cheesy dork but harmless enough.  Darrell calls him Mr. Ugly.

This is Baby Kitty and as you can see, she has been dressed to dance on Hairspray and see if she can win the Miss Teen Age Hair Spray Pageant or be one of the nicest kids in town.  What do you think?  Sophie used to carry this cat around like it was a cuddly little baby doll.  It is a piece of carved wood that I just bought on a whim because I thought was kind of funny.  Never in a million years did I ever imagine that I would be dressing it in a ball gown to be the nicest kid in town.  Life sure is fun and full of unexpected surprises.

Oh, I thought I would add that I had no idea Mrs. Turnblad was John Travolta until someone told me.  I am a little bit slow sometimes.  I just thought she was a giant and not very attractive woman.  LOL.  Durr!!
